Dr. Winston opened La Mirada Eye & Laser Center in July 2001 after being Chairman of Vision Services at Friendly Hills Medical Group in La Habra for 15 years. The office was custom built to Dr. Winston's specifications with large exam rooms and an integrated computer medical records system. This facilitates rapid generation of consultation letters to your referring doctor. The company has contracts with most local medical groups. Dr. Winston performs surgery at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, Whittier Hospital, St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton, and Center for Out Patient Surgery in Whittier.

In April 2007 the office was enlarged to provide a conference room, larger optical department with new frame displays, an optical laboratory, contact lens training room and new exam rooms.
